Payment Methods
Payment for all items is due on invoice, unless stated otherwise or on agreement. We can accept credit/debit card payment, bank transfer, PayPal and cheque payments. Credit accounts may be considered for companies.
Some items are sold via our sister company and are subject to VAT at the standard rate of 20% for domestic customers in the UK. Where VAT is applied, this will normally be mentioned on the listing.
Equipment will be tested prior to shipping (except items described as faulty/not working), packed securely and dispatched following receipt of payment.
We recommend that you contact us initially, so that we can confirm pricing, availability, condition as well as answering any questions you may have.
Where an item is marked ‘Contact for details’, please get in touch with us to discuss individually.
Delivery & Shipping
We can ship most items worldwide although some surplus ex-militaria or otherwise restricted items may be available for shipping to UK or USA only for security reasons.
Domestic and international shipping charges apply on all products. We use a number of couriers for domestic and international shipments, but if you would prefer to use a particular courier or your own freight account, please let us know.
If you are purchasing multiple items, we can often combine or consolidate the consignment to reduce shipping costs. We will provide you with full tracking details following the dispatch of the goods.
International customers are responsible for paying any customs fees, duties, taxes or additional freight charges that may be incurred upon the entry of goods at the border of the destination country. Please check with your local customs authority before purchasing.
You may also collect equipment from our offices by advanced appointment only. Please do not turn up without prior arrangement as some equipment is stored at an off-site location, and may not be immediately available to collect. Items for personal collection shall not be packaged and it is the buyer’s responsibility to safely load and secure the goods into their vehicle.
Some larger or heavier items may only be available for customer collection. Where such applies, this is clearly indicated on the relevant product page. This is to mitigate the risk of potential damage in transit. Couriers also have restrictions on the maximum weight/dimensions per package. You are welcome to appoint a courier to collect the goods on your behalf.
eBay Global Shipping Programme
We use the eBay Global Shipping Programme to sell goods through eBay to buyers in participating countries. Many customers find this to be convenient. Buyers who purchase through the programme are subject to eBay’s terms and conditions and will receive their order via eBay’s delivery partner. We have no control over the eBay shipping/handling charges when items are purchased through this programme.
If you would prefer to purchase directly through the Surplus Test website as an international buyer, please contact us and a member of our friendly team will be glad to assist.
